Lakeland Miniature Village
Lakeland Miniature Village is situated at Flookburgh near the resort of Grange-over-Sands and provides a fascinating insight into the buildings of the Lake District's past.
The village contains over a hundred buildings made from local Coniston slate including houses, farms and barns, which combine to recreate the Lakeland landscape. These include classics such as Hill Top Farm, the home of Beatrix Potter, the Bridge House at Ambleside, Windermere's Baddeley Clock, and Townend Farmhouse at Troutbeck. There is also a model of Slater's Bridge with the adjoining Clapper Bridge at Little Langdale.
All the buildings are lovingly hand crafted by retired builder Edward Robinson. The miniature village has been growing for over 22 years, so there is often something new for visitors to see.
The Oriental Building, which is the display area, overlooks the attractive Oriental Garden, there are also water features throughout the miniature village.
